Katherine Conway

Katherine possesses considerable professional expertise when it comes to childhood development and the importance of special teachers and mentors. She experienced firsthand this potent connection in her work as a medical doctor and also as a musician and music educator. Katherine graduated with a B.M. from the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati in Harp Performance and Music Education, studying under Linda Wellbaum and Alice Chalifoux. She went on to teach music at the elementary level and also at her own high school alma mater, the Academy of the Immaculate Conception in Oldenburg, Indiana. Katherine worked during that time as a freelance harpist. Drawn in a different direction, and always willing to take up a challenge, she attained a medical degree and completed her residency in pediatrics at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation where she later worked as a staff physician. She is currently a member of the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and also sings with the Saint Gregory the Great Church choir, while volunteering her services as a harpist whenever needed.
